I have a PhD from MIT and am a certified Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Master Black Belt. After 11 years learning and applying LSS on the Atlas rocket program, I worked for World Vision for nine years - three in East Africa - teaching and coaching LSS. For the past seven years, I have been working (and continue to work part time) as Process Excellence Manager for Medair, a Christian humanitarian NGO headquartered near Lausanne, Switzerland. I have also worked with the International Trade Centre, training and coaching Quality Champions in Nepal, Laos, Iraq, Myanmar and the Philippines. I am eager to see Lean grow in practice and impact, especially in development and humanitarian organizations, and small and medium enterprises (SME). I also write and speak to promote Lean in NGOs and SMEs because I know how great an impact it can have.

We created Go Lean and Grow in 2023, but our story began more than 10 years before that when Andrew was leading a Lean Six Sigma initiative in the World Vision East Africa region, from mid-2011 to mid-2014. All of our team members received Lean or Lean Six Sigma training from Andrew and have been applying what they learned in their work since that time. All are now offering Lean training that was developed for NGOs and SME and has been refined for over 15 years.
Our mission is to bring the benefits of Lean into NGOs, SMEs and other organisations.
We are all eager to help you learn what Lean is and to apply it in your work to improve the performance of your organisation, whether in an NGO, an SME, a government entity, an educational institution or a large company.
